What is Tai Chi?​

 

Tai Chi is a form of gentle exercise created from the traditional Chinese martial arts.  It is also known as ‘Soft Martial Arts’.

 

It is a sequence of slow and gentle movements, which promotes calmness by connecting the mind and the body.  It promotes the reduction of stress and can help with a variety of other health conditions. 

Regular practice will improve your:

 

 + Balance (reducing the risk of falls)
 + Concentration
 + Energy, stamina & agility
 + Flexibility
 + Muscle strength
 + Reduction of stress

 

Another important element of Tai Chi is that it

stimulates the fine connective tissue of the body, which other forms of exercise seem unable to reach.
